Overview

Enjoy the beauty and excitement of Browns Canyon National Monument on a full day whitewater rafting tour down the Arkansas River. Your guide will go over safety procedures, paddling techniques and tell you about the area’s unique history, flora and fauna. They will also prepare a deli-style riverside lunch. This tour departs directly from the River Runners Browns Canyon outpost, a riverside property just south of Buena Vista, Colorado. Transportation is provided from the take-out back to River Runners. All gear is included in the price of the trip.

River Runners are very friendly and amazing company. Owing to the season many rafting tours were full but these guys are very accommodative and welcome Walk-Ins as well. The staff is amazing and respectful. We took a half a day intermediate trip in the 3rd week of July. We encountered almost 8-10 class(II,III and IV) level rapids and Chris our Raft Guide was competent and awesomely experienced. A professional and friendly interaction with him made the experience more awesome. He is an amazing person and at the same time told us about interesting facts about the River, the flow and history around and places to visit in Colorado. IT was a truly memorable and joyous experience for us for first timers rafters like us.

Every year my kids and I try to get away and do a rafting trip, this year it was River Runners full day Royal Gorge. It was fantastic! Megan was our guide and we had a blast. She is a great captain! We will be back!
