Overview

Enjoy the beauty and excitement of Browns Canyon National Monument on a half day whitewater rafting tour down the Arkansas River. Your guide will go over safety procedures, paddling techniques and tell you about the area’s unique history, flora and fauna. This tour departs directly from the River Runners Browns Canyon outpost, a riverside property just south of Buena Vista, Colorado. Transportation is provided from the take-out at Hecla Junction back to River Runners. All gear is included in the price of the trip. Choose from 10 am and 2 pm departure times (check-in is 45 minutes prior).

All the guides were really nice and had it together. Very good at explaining the paddle techniques and very easy going. The water level was very low, that of course is not their fault. We had a good time anyway and the views are beautiful. Mary the bus driver though, was the BEST! What a sweet lady.

So much fun!!!! Great staff and fun for every level. Water was low but staff went above & beyond to make it fun

This was extremely fun and exciting! I loved being on the river and going through all the thrilling rapids! Sophie (our river guide) made the trip very fun, as she would make many hilarious jokes, tell us random fun facts, and over all guides us through the water very well! She was also super energetic and made even the boring parts full of fun! Good job Sophie!
