Browns Canyon Intermediate Rafting Trip Half Day

Overview
Browns Canyon on the Arkansas River is our most popular trip! The unique combination of lots of exciting whitewater, spectacular canyon scenery, great mountain views of some of Colorado’s highest mountains and opportunities to spot wildlife make this the ideal raft trip. Exciting enough for seasoned paddlers, but not too scary for first-timers. You will want to bring your friends and family for epic rapids such as Pinball, Zoom Flume, and Big Drop!

We had Denison as a rafting guide for a half-day trip in brown canyon on the Arkansas River, it was amazing ! Denison knew what he was doing! all of the staff were extremely well-experienced and amazingly pleasant, knowledgeable and a lot of fun! I highly recommend taking the time to go there. Even if an hour and a half from Breck; certainly stop in South Park . don’t wear cotton at all! Froze a bit - thank goodness I am a northerner. My husband was perfectly dressed- Synthetic long sleeve thermal? a waterproof long sleeve and bottom, a nylon raincoat. Denison named All the gorgeous rock formations as sculptures. We also learned about the history of the railroad and how early settlers flourished in this landscape, history, and changes! Like NH’s “Old Man in the Mountain” -the Collegiate Mtn Range, with Arkansas River as our mode of travel, was epic! if possible —-secure transport!!!. Picked up in breck at Carvers sports store, delivered to the facility and returned home .. clean and modern bus with a wonderfully friendly, informative Jimmy!. He knew those curves! Jimmy understood the landscape in its highest elevation! certainly stop in South Park- lots of fun had by all. Cold and fast running water this season. Although I felt majorly safe at level 3 intermediate for my first time . And so did my husband. Go for it!

What a great review, thank you! And you are right about the cotton- we recommend polypropylene and synthetic material to keep you warm and dry. You chose a great trip- our Express trips with round trip transportation in our comfort shuttles from Breckenridge are a great way to experience our amazing area without the hassle of driving through the mountains. Hope you come back and see us again!

Our guide, Drew, was very knowledgeable about the canyon and was calm and kept a sense of humor throughout the entire trip.

We had a beautiful day on the river thanks to our amazing guide Jonathan! Great insight of the area, years of experience guiding trips but truly enjoyed his time on river right along side us "newbies", couldn't have had a better experience!
