The negative reviews had me worried but we had a great time. Most visitors wore their masks and didnā€™t crowd each other. They seemed a little short staffed but they were not rude. The rides were busy but the waits were manageable to us. If your goal is to experience all the rides, you may want to pay extra for the quick queue. We loved the food festival and it was a welcome change from the typical park food. We used the hotel shuttle and the drop-off area was super convenient. I wished we would have booked an encounter but overall we had a great time.

This was our first time visiting Busch Gardens in Tampa and I honestly donā€™t know the reason for all of the negative reviews. Weā€™ve been to Disneyland, DisneyWorld, Universal, Six Flags, etc and Busch Gardens competes with them all. I would say about 80% of the rides and restaurants were open. The longest we had to wait for a ride was 40 minutes and we rode everything. Many of the major rides only had a 10-15 minute wait. Donā€™t buy the Quick Queue pass until you get there. It was super expensive and unnecessary. I would instead spend your money on the preferred parking and all day dining. We also did the Sloth Experience and our kids loved it! Would highly recommend it. If you havenā€™t been to Busch Gardens, put it on your to-do list.

Now I've been going to BG for years but in recent visits I've noticed a pattern, they continuously slow the lines down by not working all the coasters causing excess wait times. These excess wait times causes many to buy the quick pass for a nice charge producing more revenue for the park. I see their plan. I went yesterday and in a 6 hour period we rode 4 rides...yes 4. I used to ride 4 rides in the first hour back in the day. This will be my last visit to BG probably for many years. It's a shame these major corporations play these games all in the name of $$$$$.
