Busch Gardens used to be a great alternative to the Disney's and Universals. Sadly they are trying to keep up with the times, but this has resulted in lots of cutbacks and also lots of reconstruction. Whilst accepting improvements need to be made, perhaps a reduction in prices should be made, whilst in progress. Some great attractions here, but these will not be enough if more regeneration and TLC are not applied. 2 particular gripes are - NO safari tour for everyone(only paid extra now) and cable cars(skyway) not in use during our visit. Also loads of pedestrian diversions, theres lots of walking already!! Will not return unless big changes are made, and soon.

We went on Saturday 2/22 and had a great time. We were very surprised over how smooth every thing went after many hiccups at Disney over the years. We used a Tampa City Pass and got to pretty much bypass the lines to buy tickets. It was a little cool the day we went so I'm not sure if it played a factor but the lines for rides were very short all day. On some rides, there wasn't even a line. We literally walked up and got on, got off at the end and got on again. For a couple of rides they actually let us stay on. This was on a Saturday! My parents who are older don't do rides anymore so they went to a Frank Vaille tribute show and had a blast. They did some walking but used the train to pretty much get around the park too. There are two key stops the trains moves between which kept them from a ton of walking. There was also a really nice ice show that they went to plus my wife moved between my parent at the shows and my son and I getting our thrill ride fix in and this left everyone happy! We set my son up for a sloth encounter too and that was the best. He interacted with two different types of sloth and got to pet and feed them. We got a tons of picture out of it. I think our only hangup for the day was when we went for lunch. There was a group there with meal tickets in front of us and for some reason the staff was just baffled on how to process these meal tickets and had to staple each one to a receipt when they finally did figure it out. We waited about 10 minutes which was a little frustrating because at that point all of our hot lunches were pretty cold. Beyond that, we had no complaints. Any other snacks or drinks we got had no lines. There are a lot of great animal exhibits that get you right in there with the animals and birds which you never find at a zoo We even found the gift shops to be reasonably priced.

I will NEVER waste my money on this park again. Visited a number of years ago and enjoyed this park, not at all this time. Map of the park was vey difficult to follow and NOT to scale. Lines were long and my biggest frustration was after literally running from one end of the park to another, we arrived before the one and only show I wanted to see, only to be turned away as it was full. FRUSTRATING! At the end of the day, total chaos trying to get on a tram to take us back to the parking lot. Waited for 4 trams before finally getting on, and I WASN'T In the back of a line but people pushing and shoving to get on board. Finally, get to our rental car only to find someone ripped our side view mirror off of the car....NICE. Unless you're a teen or millennial, I wouldn't waste your time or money on Busch Gardens.
