Terrible experience on 21st July 2022! Queuing times were ridiculous due to many rides being closed for maintenance, managed to get 4 rides in total from arriving at 10.15 to 18.30! The new ride 'Iron Gwazi' at 11am the operator (lady) who was assigning people to the ride lines was letting some rides go with empty seats despite the crazy numbers queuing! Queuing for 2 hours on Cheetah, the extended line that went around the closed skyride queuing area was made up of plastic barriers in a small area with a small piece of rope on the narrow stairs with no fans or ventilation! I had to leave the queue as it was so hot I was about to pass out. I couldn't bring myself to join the line again. We have been to Busch Gardens a number of times, this was by far the worst experience and was planning to return on our second week but will not bother.

We regret to read about this recent experience at our park. Unfortunately, despite annual maintenance and daily operating inspections, our rides can experience technical difficulties, just as any other mechanical device and can experiences delays. The health and safety of our guests is our number one priority, and we apologize these standards were not met on the date of your visit. We have forwarded your comments and concerns to our proper leadership for their internal review and action. - MM

If Disney is the ā€œHappiest place on earthā€ then Busch Gardens has to take the title for ā€œThe most miserable place on earthā€. Having spent a number of days at Disney and experienced the happy, cheerful staff who always had a smile and a friendly greeting it was quite a shock to the system being at Busch Gardens. We have been here for 5 hours so far and most ride staff have not uttered a single word to us (a grunt or two at best), not even in response to a greeting from us. The rides themselves seem understaffed, with 1 member of staff at the main entrance of each ride and no-one controlling the embarkation points on many of them so it turns into a free for all where the quick queue and standard queues merge. On one ride we were told the quick queue wasnā€™t operating as there was ā€œonly a short queueā€ in the standard line but 2 minutes later people were let into the quick queue. Regardless of the length of the standard queue the quick queue should always operate when you have paid for it! Food quality and choice is very poor, with most outlets serving the exact same choices (pizza, chicken, burger or Caesar salad). During the current thunderstorm, there is a huge queue at the Giraffe Bar in the Serengeti Overlook and only 1 person working the entire bar area. The rides themselves are really good, but the entire experience feels cheap, run down and leaves me wishing Iā€™d spent the money elsewhere instead. The ONLY reason Iā€™ve given it as high as 2/5 is because the rides are actually very good.
