We live 30 minutes from Busch Gardens and every couple of years buy an annual pass to it and Adventure Island. Every year is overkill. So it had been a few years since we last visited. We went this past Thursday thinking it would be less crowded before the school year ends. That was true. But we also found that the park was not even close to fully operational. Majority of roller coaster rides were operating, but we did not find any "shows" posted for the day. Eatery choices were scarce and not good. The majority of vendor carts lining the walkways were closed. Other things like the train, ran less frequently. We asked one of the restaurant employees why there were not more food establishments open and were told that Busch can't find the employees to work them. We find it outrageous that a one day admission is now $124 plus a whopping $30 for parking alone. So for a family of 4, that's over $500 before the cost of food and incidentals. IF YOU ARE GOING TO PAY THOSE PRICES, YOU HAD BETTER DO YOUR RESEARCH AHEAD OF TIME AND FIND OUT WHAT WILL BE OPEN AND WHAT WILL BE CLOSED SO YOU KNOW BEFORE YOU FORK OUT SO MUCH MONEY. Disney far surpasses Busch Gardens with regards to cleanliness of all areas including restrooms, overall appearance and maintenance of all the public areas, crowd management, quality and number of food establish offerings, etc. And their $109 one day admission is far less than Busch.

We've been here like 3 - 4 times as a family and today it was very disappointing. Although we rode the 8 Rollercoasters sadly there were almost no animals, no shows, no entertainment, the park was almost dead, just the music on the speakers, else than that it was very dead. We did all the Rollercoasters but saw like 3 types of small animals and that's it, also it was very very disappointing to find the safari as a an "add on" basically they removed the safari as an included attraction and now you have to pay for it. Also the Nibiru train went broken while being on in...

We always love a day out at Busch Gardens when we are in Orlando on holiday. We decided to go again, this time midweek so it would be quieter. Busch gardens has some of the best rollercoasters in Florida - lots of great coasters for thrilled seekers. We specifically went this time to ride Iron Gwazi, the new hybrid coaster. While the ride itself is phenomenal, a really great coaster, for a ride that is barely 2 months old it was having terrible issues while we were there - we waiting twice in line and in the 2 times we queued the ride went down 4 times!! - I think it's down to the restraint system which is very weird as you have a seat belt but people then naturally pull down the restraint once belted in, but they tell you not to as you have to wait for everyone to belt up first. If one person pulled the restraint down early, the whole rude had to be stopped and go through a thorough testing run before restarting....the 2 rides we did on Iron Gwazi therefore took up the first 2.5 hours of the day, so a huge chunk. I think Busch Gardens need to get this sorted as, it was a really quiet day when we went, if this happens on a busy weekend it will take all day to ride it. Other than that the park is great, lots to do and great thrill rides. As always there were a good number of attractions closed, which was very disappointing- and it felt that was due to staff shortages rather than genuinely being down or closed for refurbishment. I still recommend this park to everyone as its always worth a visit.
