It’s an amazing experience. You could definitely transport yourself to a rainforest surrounded of butterflies among other tropical species.

My family and I drove from Jacksonville specifically to see the Butterfly Rainforest and we were all super excited. Upon entering the building, we were told if we wanted to see the butterflies to head there first because rain was in the forecast. We headed straight there, paid our way (roughly $30 for two adults and one child) and entered. We had been inside the exhibit for maybe 5-10 minutes and we were about 1/3 of the way through when we were told over the loudspeaker to exit the exhibit due to lightening. No problem, completely understandable. When we asked about a refund or raincheck, we were told they don't do that and "That's why I warned you." We were NEVER given a warning or told there were no refunds or rainchecks due to weather. If we had been told that, we most likely would've though twice about paying and going in. Basically, we paid $30 for pretty much nothing. TOTAL BUMMER.

Inside the FL Museum of History. Expensive at $14. There are 500 +/- butterflies which is fun to see but it takes only a half hour or so to walk thru and sit here and there. Would be appealing to kids. We have been to other butterfly gardens and this one is about average of those available, hence the rating of 3. If this review is helpful then please indicate so below.
