Wow, our trip with guide and driver MC is something we will never forget, absolutely one of the top 10 experiences of our many worldwide travels! We were first-time visitors to Moab and already enamored with its beauty having hiked a few trails around Arches the day before. But none of what we experienced could prepare us for the incredible adventure MC had in store for us with this 4x4 day trip around the White Rim Trail. He truly lives and breathes the outdoors and I canā€™t imagine anyone having done a better job of leading us through the incredible sights this area has to offer. His vast knowledge of the area as well as expertise in geology and terrain science made the trip more than just a feast for the eyes but the mind as well. There wasnā€™t a question we had that MC wasnā€™t able to answer as well as provide a wealth of scientific detail if desired, and I personally came away with a much deeper knowledge and respect for geology and the wonders of the earth itself. Not to mention he was an incredibly skilled driver and never once had any of us feeling uncomfortable or frightened despite some of the heights and narrow passages of the trails. MC even provided his personal cell phone number and insisted we contact him anytime we are looking for advice on hikes or skiing or any number of outdoor adventure experiences *worldwide* (his personal experience and knowledge stretches across the entire US as well as several locations around the globe). So many memories of this incredible trip are flashing through my mind right now as I write this review. We are already looking forward to booking a trip with Navtec and specifically MC on our next trip to Moab.

Great adventure by 4x4 with very qualified guide/driver. Excellent scenery, commentary, great photos [and driver sensitive to all photo requests]. Exciting, colorful and educational. Highly recommend Navtec and their driver Charlotte.

Seeing Canyonlands from the visitors center at the top doesnā€™t do it justice. The White Rim Trail runs much of the length of the canyon about half way up, giving you views both up and down of the diverse geological formations (including musselman arch), many side canyons, Colorado River and big horn sheep. The only way to do the trail is by multi day or supported mountain bike or four wheel drive. Navtec offers both half and full day truck tours. Itā€™s not cheap but worth it. The vehicles are comfortable and safe and the drivers professional, experienced and knowledgeable about history, geology, archaeology (thereā€™s petroglyphs) and paleontology (dinosaur bones). Kelly was our driver and you can tell he loved the drive as much as us, even though he does it nearly everyday. I would recommend the full day as it offers you far more to see, and the ability to stop whenever you want for as long as you want to explore, take pics, etc. Whatever you do, use Navtec. They are the most professional outfit ever.
