Great places to eat. Especially the tapas at the beginning. Great tour guide (Robert) who was knowledgeable friendly and helpful

Tried some really lovely food with great historical insights from Robert, our guide. Learned a lot about some of the more off-beat events of the past. It was a really hot day, but Robert did his best to keep us in the shade. I like the fact that there was the option to purchase cocktails at a couple of the locations. Centring around he East Market was also a great way to see how the locals eat and shop. The people on the tour were also lovely.

I am glad I received this as a gift because I’m not sure I would have spent money on this otherwise. We received more of a Capitol Hill history tour of random facts than a food tour. Not to mention our tour guide wasn’t the friendliest. She seemed very opinionated and didn’t do a great job connecting history to the restaurant. In total, when looking at the cost of each tasting it was maybe valued at $30 a person (if that). For $70 a person I would have hoped for a bit more, including bigger portions, more information on the restaurants we were going to and more creative selections for the restaurants. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this particular tour but maybe it was just our guide and the neighborhood.
