Carlsbad 3-Hour Electric Bike Rental

Overview

You will pick up the electric bikes at our store and receive brief training and directions on where you can go on this self guided ride. Then you will enjoy riding an electric bike along the coastline in Carlsbad for 3 hours. Check out the surfers and the waves crashing on the beach. The bike lane parallels the beach for approximately 6 miles and then continues through the quaint little towns. There are plenty of places to stop along with way and sit on the beach, shop or get a bite to eat.

Watching my girlfriend Rida a bike for the first time being on pins and needles riding behind her hoping she did fall off the bike. After about 30 minutes she was a lot more confident and the electric bike like a true champ.

Terrific experience and a beautiful way to see the coastline. I haven’t rode a bike much in the past 30 years and despite popular folklore, I do think you can forget how to do it! :-). I would recommend you walk your bike across the intersection and get into the designated bike lane near the pick up spot. Makes for a much safer and enjoyable experience. We opted to have low assist on the way to Encinitas but I was on full power mode after lunch for the ride back. It was great. Perfect 3 hours is to the town, lunch and back. Loved it. Would have really liked a rear view mirror to see other cyclists, my friend and cars behind me. I wasn’t balanced enough to easily glance back but most people wouldn’t have that issue. Highly recommend! Ask for a basket to put your backpack vs having to wear it.

After being a little hesitant riding a bike in a place that I was not familiar with, this was one of the best experiences I have ever had on vacation. If I could have rented it for the day I would’ve but we already had plans for the remainder of the day. The staff were incredible and the bikes were high-quality. The staff really do educate you on how to operate the electric and take the time to make you comfortable. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Carlsbad. Rent for the day if you can!!!
