Ben was an awesome guide! He provided a great combination of an educational tour with a laid-back vibe. Food, wine, and beer samplings were amazing! Very enjoyable!!!

Carlsbad Food Tour is a must do when visiting this cute town. Ben was our guide, he was so knowledgeable of the local history and art around the town. The tour gives you a mixture of great different types of food, wine and beer. We loved each place we visited and the staff at each location was so nice. We highly recommend doing this at the beginning of your stay in Carlsbad, it will give you an overview of the town and there will be places you learn about and will want to return to. Ben was excellent and made our day so enjoyable!!!

I liked the tour in general, but there were only 5 stops. One was a doughnut shop (at 11:30 it is too late for doughnuts and you get half a doughnut “because they are big and they were”), second was a crepe place ( where you get a quarter crepe, they were delicious), third was a Mexican place ( two small al pastor tacos were served), fourth was a winery where a strawberry short cake from the adjoining place was served and three wines were served for tasting. The last place was the Italian gelato place where four flavors were served. I have been on other food tours and this one seemed to have a lot of sugary and sweets and not enough meal like. I never left a tour feeling still hungry but this one left me just full of sugar. The guide, David, was great and gave us a good background and historical info about Carlsbad.
