Our guide BEN was terrific! He shared so much local knowledge while casually strolling through the village. The food was a highlight of course, and each and every restaurant offered freshly prepared and wonderfully seasoned food. The wine stop was also so very tasty!

Decided to do this tour with my mother for her birthday. And so glad we did, we were not disappointed. It was only us on a tour with tour guide Ben but he made it an awesome experience. He was easy to talk to and very knowledgeable about the area. We got to try great foods from Italian, Mexican, Wine and delicious desserts. We are also from North County San Diego area but we learned so much about Carlsbad that we did not know. It was not a hard walk, very relaxed and not exhausting. I would highly recommend this tour to people looking for something to do in Carlsbad, it was a fun time!

My mother and I came to Carlsbad for sunny warmth for a week. We always do some type of walking tour in each place we visit for an introduction to the area and recommendations for things to do and places to dine. Ben was our guide and we were fortunate to be the only people on the tour as it was their first tour for the season after having been closed for COVID. We liked all of the stops and there was a good amount to eat at each stop without feeling it was too filling. Ben gave us information about each stop as well as city information and history along the way. The walk wasn’t difficult at all and that was a good thing as my mother has arthritis and she had no complaints during or after. This is a personal, low-key food tour and we felt engaged at all times. Ben was very gracious in answering our questions and it felt as though we had a personal friend showing us around town. The food choices were well selected and there was clear forethought in the sequence of the stops. It was an overall great tour and we would recommend it as I can’t perceive anyone would have a bad experience. Importantly, Ben was very aware of our food allergies and preferences and ensured they were accommodated.
