So, we were asked if we had any food allergies, etc. when we signed up and we have two in our group that don't eat meat. Cherie admitted she hadn't read this and didn't have an option for the two. She also commented frequently about all the options for "wine drinkers" and seemed overly focused on the alcohol component of the tour. We have been on several tours similar and this was hands down my least favorite. Food was good though so this is more about the customer service side of things.

We are certainly able to accommodate any guest’s food preferences or allergies. We constantly strive to make each of guests comfortable and satisfied in this respect. I’m not sure how we missed the email communication as we frequently check our emails. At the start of each tour, we normally check on the attending guest’s food preferences and do our best to make the necessary accommodations during the tour with appropriate tastings. We apologize for your experience, but we appreciate your input for us to continue to improve our tour process.

the walking food tour was GREAT! The places Dave took us were excellent as well as his knowledge of the area! We took the train up from San Diego and the tour started right across from the train station. Highly recommend.

Really enjoyed our tour. Excellent food and excellent company. Cherie was very friendly and helpful. Particularly enjoyed the Humble Oils, their balsamic selection was extensive and delicious. All other venues were good, our least favourite was Senor Grubbys, but even that wasn't dreadful. The history of Carlsbad was interesting too. Can't wait to come back and try the Indulgent tour next year.
