Sunset Cultural Center
This is the meeting place for Carmel Food Tours. Look for the tall, Gothic-style arch and huge windows. It looks a little like a church, but it's not. When you descend into the courtyard, which is located EXACTLY at the intersection of 9th & San Carlos, you'll be greeted by your tour guide.

I've been wanting to take this tour for a very long time. I usually am working on tour dates, but was off for this particular Saturday and asked my grandson if he would be interested in taking this tour with me, so extended it to my daughter, her partner and my grandsons paternal grandmother who is also a friend as well. We met Bonnie at the right time and she had us introduce ourselves and then we were off. We've done birthday dinners in Carmel, but its always dinner in the winter and no time to check out much else so the tour was perfect! Each establishment we went to was so outstanding with their information, the tastings were awesome. I tried to take notes, but about half way, got into the spirit and couldn't keep up with my writing other than the name of the places we went. We have already decided that we need a do over and will be going on our own to explore the places we went to. Loved every moment of the tour! Great job Bonnie!

Bonnie was our tour guide and she was very informative and personal making the tour very enjoyable. I was told that each tour is different and depends on the guide, time of year and what day you choose. We live in the Bay Area and are starting to go to Carmel more often and our tour introduced us to several places we had not had a chance to visit or knew nothing about. The only negative thing was that there were 17 in our group and some of the shops were to small to accomidate all of us. There was always opportunities to buy items in the shops but not really enough time to look, but we had the option of returning after the tour was over.

The food, drinks, the ambience, Brian’s knowledge and history of where we went. His outgoing personality and charisma made the whole tour. Excellent and memorable tour.
