Sunset Cultural Center
This is the meeting place for Carmel Food Tours. Look for the tall, Gothic-style arch and huge windows. It looks a little like a church, but it's not. When you descend into the courtyard, which is located EXACTLY at the intersection of 9th & San Carlos, you'll be greeted by your tour guide.

My husband and I loved this three hour tour. Amber was a great guide. She kept us moving and enjoying. Amber continually added fun facts and historical facts along the way. I would do this again. We got lucky also, we had some fun people in our group. Amber was awesome. I would recommend this to anyone. Walking shoes...yes.

I've visited Carmel many times over the years but this was my first time doing a food tour in the area. I am so glad I chose Carmel Food Tours! My mother and I went at the end of July and the weather was gorgeous--sunny and cool. The tour covers a short walking distance, and it still felt good to be outside moving around. We visited seven locations, each one different from one another but all truly delicious. Bonnie was our guide, and she was spectacular. Very informative, friendly, attentive, and engaging. It's clear she loves her job and her enthusiasm was wonderful. The tour was the perfect pace and perfect mix of small meals and unexpected treats/snacks. I never imagined a honey store or an oil/vinegar store would be as delicious and entertaining as they were on this tour. I loved this tour so much that when I went back to California a week later for a different trip, I tried to reserve another one at the last minute, but they were sold out. I know I will definitely do another Carmel Food Tour again.
