I was surprised how efficient they were. Very organized and on time. One advice: If you can keep your luggage with you, you will get out faster, otherwise you will wait a bit longer to get it. We did not get VIP lounge, but it was comfortable enough. Our trip was from Long beach.

I only knocked this down one star because of how impossible it was to get to the port due to the detours. Not their fault, but when you are coming from out of town, it's miserable. The ferry ride is efficient and easy and does the trick.

I personally think that this ferry is too expensive. We paid nearly 140 dollars for the round trip and then had to pay to upgrade to the lounge to keep from freezing. The penalties for being late threaten to void your tickets and keep you from enjoying the trip to the island. I am handicapped and they offered no assistance to me on boarding or debarking the ferry.
