Cave Point Kayak Tour

Overview
This kayak tour sets off to see a few of the many precious gems of Door County.

You will experience thousand year old caves, ancient fossils, and Whitefish Dunes State Park.

After an introductory lesson and a calm launch from a location north of Cave Point, you'll follow the coast until seeing the coves of Cave Point County Park where you'll creep along listening to the wonderful sound of the water and enjoying the view of the caves. Then explore the caves with the kayaks, and finally head towards Whitefish Bay Dunes State Park.

At this point, you will turn around and return to the launch location or head to the take-out point at the Whitefish Bay Town boat launch (dependent upon the wind). The caves are not viewable from the land.

Our kayak launch location and close meeting location make our company the #1 reasons to use us for your Cave Point Kayak Tour.

A beautiful time on Lake Michigan and great for a novice kayaker. Instruction was clear and simple. Cliff views like no other, fun facts about the area, and option adventure opportunities at no added cost.

My husband & I had a great time kayaking Lake Michigan & seeing the caves. The views are incredible & the color of the water is amazing! Gus was a great tour guide & did a great job of explaining about the area. The tour actually took about 2.5 hours with transfers to the lake & then back to the shop in Jacksonport. Great experience & I highly recommend this tour & Gus!

Good experience. A LOT of paddling, so be aware of that. This isn’t a what we’d call a leisurely paddle or float. You cover a lot of ground getting to the “cave”. BTW, the “cave” was the most disappointing thing about the trip. This was supposed to be the climax and it was nothing more than a room about the size of a two kayak lengths that one kayaker at a time could go in, and turn around and come back out. If you were all hyped up for the cave, you’d be really disappointed. However the trip overall was absolutely beautiful. The shoreline is rugged a gorgeous, the water is fantastic (but SUPER cold!). So if you’re up for some exercise and love natural beauty, this is an activity you should definitely do! (But, don’t do it just for the “cave”). Staff here is great!
