Running in New York City is amazing, and this casual paced 5K run tour of Central Park is the best way to do it! We follow along winding paths and rolling hills past many of Central Park’s most iconic locations where we make brief stops to talk about the history of New York's most beloved green space. I enjoyed running through Central Park. Elena K is fast 9:00 mile but will go slower if you ask. She has been doing the running tour for 3 year, very knowledgeable about the Park & building around the Park. There are plenty of stops to catch you breath or a drink of water. She takes your pictures at different places in the Park and then air drop them to you when you are all done. Elena runs and talks at the same time, impressive! If you are any speed of a runner take this tour, and then you can keep your running up while on vacation.

I am SO GLAD that I hooked up with Fit Tours NYC. I did the running tour with Elena - who is phenomenal - along with my 16 year-old daughter and 15 year-old son. My daughter was starting a pre-college college program and was going to be in the city - two blocks from Central Park - for two weeks. My son and I went up with her to drop her off so I was looking for as many "experiences" as possible to enrich a quick weekend with them. Fit tours NYC did just that. We met Michael, Elena and rest of our tour group by the statue of General Sherman as planned and on time. After getting to know each other and some preliminary stretches we were off. Elena was our guide and she was fantastic. The three of us had been through Central Park several times but this run added a whole new level of appreciation for this amazing park. The pace was perfect - my kids both run cross country so it served as a training run for them. We stopped and took some great photos. When we were done, Michael was waiting with water and other snacks. Our great experience helped my daughter feel at home in the park and she is now running there every day while she is attending her program. I will definitely be hooking up with Michael again the next time my family and I are in town. This running tour is the best way to experience the city.

I laughed a lot, as well, which is always a bonus while working out! I look forward to getting out there with you all again!
