What a great way to relax and sightsee at the same time. The champagne was wonderful and the cheese was marvelous. Very enjoyable!

My husband & I have done the walking food tours in NY previously & loved it. Bought it for numerous family members who loved it as well. This cruise was disappointing. Weather was perfect for cruise, boat was great. However, the 1 female waitress was wonderful, super bubbly personality...made it enjoyable. However, the male waiter was GRUMPY & seemed to want to get the night over with so he could get a tip. Very skimpy with the wine & cheese. You literally get a cube or an 1/8 inch slice of cheese. My husband found a cheese he enjoyed & asked him for more. He was annoyed & literally gave us each 1 more cube with an attitude. The woman running it needed a microphone because you could “barely” hear her describing the wine or cheese. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would give it a 2. My husband & I both felt we wouldn’t feel good recommending this cruise to family or friends. Over the years we have done a number of wine, beer & food fests and this ranked real low. I bought this for my husband for a Christmas gift and was quite disappointing. When we docked they mentioned to leave a tip. We left a generous tip for the bubbly waitress (tip pool) however when we were ready to leave of course the grumpy waiter stood by the tip jar with a BIG SMILE thanking us for joining them. Quite honestly it would have been nice if he had the same fake smile during the night to make it more pleasant instead of doing it when expecting tips. My husband & I own a service business & we train our staff to go above & beyond with every customer & clearly that’s not the protocol of this business. We excel at what we do for a reason!! And people have been coming back for 7+ years It’s all about customer service, giving them a great experience so that they have a moment to remember and will refer numerous friends & family to have the same experience. This wasn’t the case.

When you come to New York this trip is a fantastic experience. You are on a beautiful ship, with a fantastic crew! This without being crammed in like on the ferries (we all had our own corner per group). You can enjoy a beautiful view of NY including the Statue of Liberty. The crew allows you to take some beautiful photos by slowing down the ship in an excellent place. The cheese board with accompanying wines was a very pleasant extra!
