Charleston Ghost & Graveyard Tour
Meet your guide at a central meeting point, then proceed to the graveyard where you will hear about Charleston's spirits and gruesome tales such as: • The ghost of Sue Howard, a grieving mother who prays at the grave of her dead child from the spirit world. Your guide has the picture to prove it. • The Great Nullifier, famous rebel warrior John C. Calhoun. Find out why he and his wife still dance in the street every year, for over 150 years running. • Tales of being buried alive. Doctors in old Charleston didn't take chances with contagious diseases. Fall unconscious in a hospital, wake up in a grave.Learn why the terms saved by the bell and graveyard shift were coined. You will be glad you weren't around when they were. While other walking tours are looking in through the iron fence, you'll be on the inside. Learn the history of Charleston's haunted graveyards and hear tales about famous individuals who found their final resting place in the Holy City. Don't forget your flash cameras. We took graveyard tour. First of all, group of 20 people is too much. Our guide was pretty much running around those buildings so older people in the group found it hard to keep up, I was surprised he never checked on them. His guide talents are not the best and it really is no fun when you have 3-5 other groups at the same locations and you literally just wait until they leave. Price of 60$ is too much for 2 people considering cheesy atmosphere of the tour...

U8715BL_, Thanks so much for your feedback of the tour. We are sorry felt disappointment in the experience. The City of Charleston allows for up to twenty people per walking tour in the historic district. In addition, there are multiple tour companies in the City and we often go and talk about similar haunted spots. We would love to hear more about your tour, who was your guide, and what we can do to make this up to you. Feel free to reach out to our Tour Guide Manager, Andrew Kuhn, at [email protected] for more information. Thanks again!

Chase was our guide and was knowledgeable and entertaining during our tour. Would highly recommend to anyone with some time on their hands.

Our guide was awesome and a great story teller, but the tour was very lackluster with not much to see. We only went into one graveyard, talked about the powder magazine and then stood on a sidewalk to see some pictures of what is supposedly the ghost of John C. Calhoun.

We are very sorry that the tour fell flat for y'all. We strive to give the best tours in Charleston. On the Ghost and Graveyard, we take guests into only one graveyard which is considered the oldest burial grounds in the city. We would love to hear more about your experience, including who was your guide. Feel free to reach out to our Tour Guide Manager, Andrew Kuhn, at [email protected] to find out more. Thanks again and we look forward to hearing from you soon!
