Charleston Ghost & Graveyard Tour
Meet your guide at a central meeting point, then proceed to the graveyard where you will hear about Charleston's spirits and gruesome tales such as: • The ghost of Sue Howard, a grieving mother who prays at the grave of her dead child from the spirit world. Your guide has the picture to prove it. • The Great Nullifier, famous rebel warrior John C. Calhoun. Find out why he and his wife still dance in the street every year, for over 150 years running. • Tales of being buried alive. Doctors in old Charleston didn't take chances with contagious diseases. Fall unconscious in a hospital, wake up in a grave.Learn why the terms saved by the bell and graveyard shift were coined. You will be glad you weren't around when they were. While other walking tours are looking in through the iron fence, you'll be on the inside. Learn the history of Charleston's haunted graveyards and hear tales about famous individuals who found their final resting place in the Holy City. Don't forget your flash cameras. You never know what phantom images you can capture...

The guide that I had was very knowledgeable about everything and this was a great tour! If I am ever back in town I will most definitely tour with them again!

We did the Ghosts and Graveyards tour. Probably a little light on the ghost stories, but the tour was worth it to hear about Charleston history and see the church/graveyard which is normally locked down to visitors. The only downside I’d note is that the tour guides don’t seem to share “evidence” (not sure why), so your “proof” of ghosts (picture, videos, etc.) is going to vary depending on who you get. Otherwise, the tour was enjoyable and the guide was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We’d be interested in doing another tour with Bulldog Tours.

Thanks so much for your review! We try our best to find the right balance of ghost stories and historical narrative on our tours. It is a privilege to be able to share the oldest graveyard in the city to the many visitors on our tours. As far as the evidence, some guides show more pictures than others. Many of us like to us personal stories of paranormal events that we have experienced individually and on tours, regardless of photographic evidence. We appreciate you taking the time to leave your feedback and look forward to seeing you on another tour with us again soon!

My wife and I took the Ghost and Graveyard tour on February 7 and had a great experience. Our guide, Stu, was very informative about the churches (St. Philip's, the Circular Congregational - Stu's church) and other sites we visited and had photos of ghosts on his tablet. Very entertaining.
