Meet your guide at a central meeting point, then proceed to the graveyard where you will hear about Charleston's spirits and gruesome tales such as: • The ghost of Sue Howard, a grieving mother who prays at the grave of her dead child from the spirit world. Your guide has the picture to prove it. • The Great Nullifier, famous rebel warrior John C. Calhoun. Find out why he and his wife still dance in the street every year, for over 150 years running. • Tales of being buried alive. Doctors in old Charleston didn't take chances with contagious diseases. Fall unconscious in a hospital, wake up in a grave.Learn why the terms saved by the bell and graveyard shift were coined. You will be glad you weren't around when they were. Our hotel recommended this tour company and we were glad they did. (Just as an aside, Charleston has so many walking tours criss-crossing the city, they start running into each other. I've never seen a town so overrun with walking tours!) The desk staff at Bulldog was helpful in guiding us to choose which tour best met out interests. When we showed up that evening for the ghost tour, there were many people waiting, and the guides quickly sorted everyone out and into their chosen excursion. We enjoyed the opportunity to walk around at night. Noah was our guide and he did a fine job leading us through the dark and uneven paths and sidewalks and relating horrors from the past. The cemeteries and square we visited were all appropriately spooky although no self-respecting ghost would want to bother shouting "Boo!" at the multitudes of tourists traipsing Charleston streets every night. One of my photos did have an orb in it, though! Once the tour was over, Noah told us we were free to go, or he would lead us back to our starting place. We took him up on his offer.

Fantastic!! Super entertaining, story telling! It’s a great way to see parts of Charleston, but was fun to be in a grave yard at night. I would highly recommend doing this!
