Completed in 1713, it is the oldest surviving public building in the former Province of Carolina. It was used as a gunpowder store through the American Revolutionary War, and later saw other uses

This tour walks you through a part of CHS history as tales of ghosts abound. Adam, our guide, took us to many stops along the way that are said to be haunted including three graveyards/cemeteries. At each he had a multitude of stories to tell about how people died and why they haunt. The last stop is a graveyard next to he 'round' church. He has to lock us in so no one can come in - which makes it even scarier for some. There he had some awesome stories not just about the ghosts there but talked a lot about the old jail (and why he wont go there!). All in all a very interesting and fun time.

This was my first ghost tour and Bulldog did not disappoint! It was great that our group was only 4 people, so we had a more intimate experience. Adam was fantastic with his knowledge of the various areas and the stories that went with them! The Circular's Graveyard had me tense the entire time after we heard of what lurks within the iron gates. I look VERY forward to coming back and taking another tour! Kudos to the team!

I've been on ghost tours in plenty of cities, but this one really stands out. Adam's emotional storytelling and sense of humor about the macabre made for an exciting and memorable experience. A knowledgable, friendly guide makes a world of difference. The graveyards themselves were beautiful, and coupled with the stories about their histories gave us chills. We're excited to try the other tours next time we're in Charleston!
