Charleston Ghost & Graveyard Tour
Meet your guide at a central meeting point, then proceed to the graveyard where you will hear about Charleston's spirits and gruesome tales such as: • The ghost of Sue Howard, a grieving mother who prays at the grave of her dead child from the spirit world. Your guide has the picture to prove it. • The Great Nullifier, famous rebel warrior John C. Calhoun. Find out why he and his wife still dance in the street every year, for over 150 years running. • Tales of being buried alive. Doctors in old Charleston didn't take chances with contagious diseases. Fall unconscious in a hospital, wake up in a grave.Learn why the terms saved by the bell and graveyard shift were coined. You will be glad you weren't around when they were. While other walking tours are looking in through the iron fence, you'll be on the inside. Learn the history of Charleston's haunted graveyards and hear tales about famous individuals who found their final resting place in the Holy City. Don't forget your flash cameras. You never know what phantom images you can capture...

We went on a 9:30 evening Ghost and Graveyard tour on Labor Day weekend 2017. Seems that we 'scored' the most boring tour guide ever! Very nice elderly gentleman from up North but not an engaging ghost hunter! Super slow moving tour although with a relatively small group. Just one visit of a graveyard for a very brief time since other groups were already at the gate; all other graveyards were either locked or not accessable. We sat or stood mostly around and listened to stories - this all at $100 for a family group of 4 - a very regretted expense! Could have done much better things in Charleston with this money wasted on a tour which sounded promising... We live in South Carolina, come to Charleston numerous times a year and always wanted to participate in a Ghost tour. Well, great disappointment for a tour company so highly praised!!

Oh no! We are so sorry you didn't contact us sooner. Looks like you did the tour over a month ago. Please contact us with more information about your guide - not sure if you will remember his name. Glad to hear it was a small group. Labor Day Weekend, as I can recall, was extremely busy and that is pretty typical for that weekend. We do only go into one graveyard at the Old Circular Church, as advertised. The other graveyards in the city do not allow tour groups to walk through them at night. Our company has exclusive access to the Old Circular Church graveyard. We are very sorry you regretted going on the tour. Call us so that we could send you comp tickets to take another tour with us in the future. 843-722-8687

I love ghost tours of cities. It's a great way to learn some fun history and become acquainted with the city. This tour was fine, but lacked something. we didn't visit that many sites and often the stories we heard were not about the particular place we were standing. The old cemetery was cool, but the description on the tour website is a little misleading making you think that the only way you can get into the cemetery at all is with their tour. They have exclusive night time access, so go see it during the day. It made me wish I'd picked another tour that the same company offered. The guide seemed a little bored or not buying his own stories which made it less fun. I guess I was disappointed.

I'm sorry you weren't happy with the tour. Yes, sometimes the stories are about different things other than the sites you are standing by. We are the only company with night-time access to the graveyard at the Old Circular Church. I'm sorry if that wasn't clear. Yes, it is open to the public during the day, but they close it after 6pm. Call us if you can so that we can find out who your guide was. Again, we are sorry you weren't happy with the tour.
