Old Exchange & Provost Dungeon

Stop by The Old Exchange & Provost Dungeon, one of the most haunted buildings in Charleston. Since the late 1600s, the Exchange and Dungeon have existed in one form or another. Once a walled prison, it has been a haven for those seeking freedom as well as a dark and gruesome spot for prisoners caught on the wrong side of authority.

We took the Death and Depravity tour with Lance, it was amazing. It was SO cold, but Lance did not let that get in the way of an amazing (and terrifying) tour. He was such a great storyteller, and all around nice guy. You can tell he is really passionate about Charleston's haunted history, and he backs it up with research (which made the tour that much creepier). We are so glad that we went on this tour, it is one of the best ghost tours we have ever been on!

Our group loved the ghost tour! Lance did a wonderful job telling the stories and giving us background and history of Charleston. The information was colorful and exciting for all of us, and I would definitely recommend Ghost City Tour if you're in the area!

We loved the tour! Don is a great story teller and very knowledgable about the city. We didn't feel like we were paying for a stuffy tour. We felt like we were hanging out with a good friend that happens to know a lot about the city.
