There is a flat pier out to the boat and the boarding ramp is about 30 feet long. Travelers will board on the top deck and there are stairs to the lower level. Restrooms are located on the top deck.

Fort Sumter National Monument

While aboard the Carolina Belle your professional and licensed captain will narrate history, sights, and facts about the Charleston Harbor as you pass locations critical to United States history. You will get close-up views of the Holy City's most famous and charming sights such as Fort Sumter: One of Charleston's most popular landmarks, where the first shots of the Civil War were fired, USS Yorktown: the famous World War II “Fighting Lady," Confederate and Union army Forts Moultrie and Johnson, St. Michael’s Episcopal Church: A surviver of both the Revolutionary and Civil Wars, whose steeple was painted black so as not to be an easy target, Stately homes on the Battery: Symbols of Southern elegance and perseverance.

Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge

You will also see the Cooper River Bridges, including the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge: A state of the art span that accommodates the largest ships in the world and connects downtown Charleston to Mount Pleasant. To add to this wonderful experience, don't be surprised if you see Dolphins skimming the surface of the water and pelicans diving for food.

oh what fun! My Niece was visiting from WY and what a great way to show her some history and cool down on the water. Trip, our Captain was an excellent host and excellent tour guide. I learned a lot even while living here. Excellent and economical trip at $30.00 per person. Fun attraction..will definitely do again!

First time on Carolina Bell it is a very nice boat. The amenities are great and even more exceptional considering we in the middle of COVID-19. The captain made wearing face mask a requirement to board. Glad to see they care about everyone safety. The captain was the tour guide and was very knowledgeable on the history of Charleston. He was funny and witty which made the tour more enjoyable. Definitely recommend take a ride. My personal tip: take sunscreen and a hat of some sort if you book during the summer.
