Whenever we are at our family house in Kiawah Island we try to either rent a boat or do a boat tour. With the quarantine going on, things were just starting to open up. We found COA open and booked an afternoon tour to Morrison Island. It was the 5 of us in my family and another family of 5, plus our captain/guide. Our Captain was awesome. He was a plethora of information and entertaining. As a person who works in the tourism industry as well, I can tell you he is an excellent guide. Once we were beached, we had plenty of time to find shells, let the kids play, and just explore. There was an extremely low tide due to the full moon that night, so there was so much beach to explore. We saw 9 dolphins at multiple points throughout the trip. It is mating season for them, so you could say we got more than what we paid for! We also got pretty close to a pelican on a doc, they are creepy looking characters! I definitely recommend using COA for a tour next time you are in town. We have been doing these tours for a long time, and this was a favorite!

We had an absolute blast exploring the Island and learning from the Captain. We plan on going back and doing an even longer adventure!
