This area of Charleston is a beautiful spot on the waterfront and will showcase incredible southern-style mansions, oak trees, palmettos, statues, cannons and cannon balls, and marvelous views of Fort Sumter, Castle Pinckney, and the Sullivan Island Lighthouse at a distance.

I booked this tour for my elderly mother and me because we wanted to see the city without her having to walk. The tour company boasts about having an air conditioned bus, but the temperature must have been 85 degrees with two mini fans blowing at the front and back of the vehicle. It was very difficult to enjoy a ride when the sweat was dripping down our faces. Also, we were taken to some interesting historical homes, but drove by them too quickly to get a picture. Instead, the driver took us to the local colleges and spent too much time there. We stopped at the Battery to go outside, but it was difficult for my mother to get off the bus, so a few of us waited inside for the group to return. We were looking forward to seeing Rainbow Row, but again he just drove by as fast as possible, without a photo opportunity. Overall, we were not happy and I do not recommend this tour.

We enjoyed this tour. Saw all the major sites. Air conditioned. Driver was funny and informative. It ran on time.
