Our tour guide, I believe he said his name is Benji, was knowledgeable and conveyed an easy sense of humor. You could tell immediately that he loves Charleston and his job. When I personally asked him questions during a break, he gladly answered them. We saw Charleston’s breathtaking, rich architectural homes and other structures and we drove onto the ground’s of the Citadel. Bennie also pointed out The Dock Street Theatre— where purportedly the first play was staged in America. All in all, a great way to see the city.

I was in Charleston with friends in March and we chose this tour company. The bus was clean and the sound system was easy to hear. Our driver/tour guide was Alan. He was friendly and knowledgeable. His driving around town was A+. I would definitely recommend this company and Alan.

This was not a tour to write home about. The weather wasn’t great for a walking tour and we had hoped for our family to see highlights of historic Charleston and to learn about the history of the city and see the Citadel. Unfortunately the Citadel was closed to buses, and we spent most of the time driving neighborhoods, with a quick stop to the Battery. The driver wasn’t particularly friendly or enthusiastic and difficult to understand at times. The bus also included more than the maximum of 15 occupants as stated. The tour began on time and was easy to find at the Visitors Center. It’s likely there are better tour options available.

Thank you for your feedback and for taking a historic tour with Adventure Sightseeing. All of our buses are 25 passenger or a few less, but there is nowhere stated that 15 is the maximum as that would leave 10 seats unoccupied. We do go by the Citadel even when it's closed to buses but occasionally, we are not allowed through the gates due to student events. We cover more ground downtown than any other tour and give a great overview.
