The weather for our day trip was cold and cloudy so we opted for a bus tour rather than an open carriage. Regardless of the weather, it was a much better tour, more thorough and covered more territory than the carriage tour I took a while back. Our driver, Bill, is a native, has done many tourist related jobs, and knows his history. I took notes and have begun to research so many things i didn't know about Charleston despite several prior day trips. Definitely recommend.

Just back from Tour D, the City Tour and Harbor Tour. Having only one day to explore we decided to take the 1.5hr bus tour, followed by the 1.5 he Harbor tour. This was a great way to learn about the history of the area. We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel by Jim Davis, an affable fellow who was pleasant and knowledgeable. The your bus driver was Shawn who for1.5 he's shared his knowledge, often with humor. The boat captain and narrator was Andy who was equally insightful and fun. The boat had a snack bar with basics as well as soft drinks, beer and wine. The booking process was done by phone efficiently and pleasantly. Best yet...a great value at $42 per person for what was in essence an entire day of entertainment. This company understands and lives customer service and hospitality. Thank you.

Had signed up for the combo Harbor tour and city tour, but weather prevented the cast off from shore so we did not get to see the Harbor. However the city tour was excellent. Bill our tour guide was friendly and a wealth of knowledge about the city. A long time resident, Bill provided us with lots of information all during the tour and was able to share his knowledge of the progression of the growth of the city. Highly suggest you get a good history of the city through Adventure tours! Ask for Bill, to be your tour guide.
