Charleston Stand-Up Paddleboard Eco Tour

Overview
This 2-hour introductory paddle on the Edge of America will get you into the basics of SUP, all in the calm flatwater of the Folly River. All safaris begin with "ground school" or SUP instructions with your Lifeguard Certified Instructors. We'll explore alongside the numerous beautiful native birds and bottlenose dolphins. We'll go with the flow, following the tides and wind direction for a great beginning paddle. At low tide we visit a private beach and go for a swim!

Group photo is taken at the end of the tour, which will be posted on our social media pages.

We had to cancel due to unusual wind direction and current making for a very physically challenging paddle. We appreciated that they called first thing in the morning to explain the conditions and give e us our options.

Aloha Amy, Thanks for 5 Star review and yes our company policy is safety first and we always contact clients before the tour if we need to reschedule or cancel for weather. Mother Nature is always in charge! Come back and we will get y'all on the water next time.

This was the first time on a paddleboard for both me and my 10 year old daughter. Daes was an excellent teacher for paddleboard technique and even ended up towing my daughter a bit. We saw ibises and snowy egrets and learned about plough mud. Gliding back towards the boat ramp was the most peaceful half an hour I've had on our family beach vacation- I highly recommend this company and Daes as the tour leader/paddleboard instructor!

Aloha Courtney, Thanks for the great review and Deas really appreciates all the positive feedback! We start every safari out with basic instruction and have the tide at our back for an easy paddle home! Y'all come see us again!

Truly a great experience. Todd was an excellent teacher and not only taught us about the ecosystem of the area but also gave great tips and tricks for how to manage your body while on the paddleboard and gave a lot of confidence when I was feeling wobbly. As he said I soon felt awesome and was able to relax and feel pretty Zen out there on the water. Really nice experience and a great way to enjoy the Folly River.

Aloha, Thanks for the great review on your dolphin safari with Todd. Todd is an excellent teacher, he's also a professor at the College of Charleston and a local. We're so grateful to have an amazing staff to share their expertise with you.
