We took this tour on October 22, 2022. Our guide Sheri was very knowledgeable and charming! She took us through the beautiful municipal sections, past skyscrapers, pointed out the statues and murals, all the while giving us a bit of history and insiders knowledge. As it was Saturday, she let us have a short stroll through the farmer’s market. We had tea (and bought more to make at home) from the Southern Blooming Tea lady. We’re big tea drinkers and we both agreed that it was the best tea we have ever had! I had the Apple Pie Chai. It was not a sweet tea, just the very slightest hint, almost an essence of sweetness, without any milk. My husband had a sweet tea, one of the fall flavored ones. We went by the stadiums, museums and through beautiful, historical neighborhoods that look like a movie set. She pointed out restaurants and we had delicious, freshly made cornbread from Mert’s, a wonderful soul food restaurant. We’ve already eaten at three places she recommended, two meal and one dessert, and she did not steer us wrong! The golf cart was a perfect way to see the city. It was comfortable, quiet and there was no obstruction of the view. I couldn’t get my photos to upload, but there were so many beautiful sights to photograph. My husband and I were so glad that we did this. It gave us a great lay of the land and helped us to plan the rest of our trip and future ones as well! We highly recommend it.
