This chef-guided food tour takes a journey through Pacific Northwest culture by tasting Seattle’s best artisan vendors in the famous Pike Place Market. Enjoy diverse tastings at 9 different locations— and food options like chocolate covered cherries, chowder, pizza, and much more. All groups are kept to 10-11 guests to ensure easier navigation of the market, more tastings, and a better platform to ask questions and interact with the group. Leave with a 10% discount card to shop and explore after the tour.

This is a walking tour that does require a moderate amount of physical fitness due to distance, small hills, stairs and cobblestone terrain.

Meeting Location: is 1600 First Ave outside of Simply Seattle. We meet on the street. Chef will be wearing a black chef coat

Please arrive 10 minutes early. Once the tour leaves the starting point we cannot catch you up as it is a moving tour and guides choose their own routes.

It was nice to get sample at several different places without waiting or having to purchase a whole order. Was good to get a tour of the market to know where to go back to. Not a whole lot of history and/or information given I think the tour was mainly to taste the food.

I’m sorry you left feeling this way. Chef John has worked for over 20 years in the Pike Place and knows the history, vendor stories and community better than most. We have done food tours all over the world ( Paris, Barcelona, Madrid, etc ). This was one of the best we’ve been on!! Great tour with Chef John!! Great variety of food.and commentary!!!

We just finished our tour with Chef John and could not wait to write a review about how amazing the tour was. Chef John wad so knowledgeable you could yell he had years of experience in the market. He gave amazing insight and history lessons on the market and history of the area. Answered every question and insight to restaurants and where to eat. Can’t complaint on being able to skip the long lines that wrapped around buildings. Food was amazing and you got so much it was worth more then the price of the tickets. I cannot say enough good things of this tour. This is a must do!!!
