Tours take place rain or shine and meet in a different gallery for each tour. A message with the meeting location will be sent prior to the tour.
Your tour guide is licensed by New York City's Department of Consumer Affairs as a tour guide and is a member of the International Association of Art Critics (AICA USA).
Some galleries have stairs. Please let us know in advance if you need to avoid stairs so we can make sure the itinerary is accessible.
Travelers should be able to stand and walk for two hours. Seating is usually not available.

What To Expect

Chelsea

On this 2-hour tour, you’ll visit approximately seven of the most important contemporary art gallery shows of the moment, seeing and discussing artwork in variety of media. Exhibitions change every five to six weeks, so there is always something new to see. Your itinerary will include a range of mega-galleries and smaller space showing artwork by nationally and internationally acclaimed artists.

Done several of these before. Probably the best. No faffing around. Great knowledge without any judgemental pomposity. Merrily is very Charmin as well as highly efficient. Generous with both time and discussion. Impossible to imagine doing any better. We do collect some art and have more than average experience and she met and exceeded all expectations

Merrily was a fantastic guide! She gave us wonderfully insightful information on each exhibition and was happy to answer questions and discuss what we saw. She was so well prepared, had plenty of relevant information and enthusiasm, not just for the exhibitions, but the Chelsea area too. We felt that we had really soaked in an enormous amount of information by the end of our tour.

Merrily was very knowledgeable about the local art scene, but also warm and friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed the art gallery tour. She managed to assemble 5-6 galleries with very different artists and it was all very exciting!
