Chesapeake Beach
This tour is a very relaxing walk down to the start of the historic Cliffs of Calvert. On your peaceful walk down the boardwalk, which has the most breathtaking elevated view of the Chesapeake Bay, you will learn the history of the town of Chesapeake Beach and the Cliffs of Calvert, see amazing homes built on the cliffs, bay wildlife and habitat. These are just a few of the sights on this tour. This 60-90 minute tour starts at the Duck display at 4160 Mears Ave beside the Rod ā€œNā€ Reel parking garage. The tour will end with a visit to the Chesapeake Beach Railway Museum, next door to the Rod N Reel Marine Resort, where you will be able to see what it was like when arriving, by train, to the beach from DC, Baltimore and other destinations in the early 20th century. We are not responsible for the operation hours of the museum.

This was an amazing experience suitable for people of all ages. The tour was entirely on a stroller or wagon friendly surface and I'd say that it was a super-easy walk for most adults. Our tour was filled with tidbits of history and nature and our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and open to questions. I'd highly recommend this tour to anyone.

We enjoyed a walk along the boardwalk to "brownie beach" by the cliffs. It is a hidden location we would not have found on our own. Our guide was informative about the history of the area and current developments.

Jenna gave a fine tour, was informative, personable and answered our questions. We have lived near Chesapeake Beach for 17 years and had never seen this beautiful part of the town: both the scenery and the homes. Such a perfect day for a guided walk. CSCC was so helpful, too, when I inadvertently signed up for the wrong tour and then realized the weather for our selected day would be horrible. They easily changed us to the Cliff Walk and gave us a beautiful day. The owner was even on hand to take our pictures at the beginning and mid-way points of our walk. That may be because this was the first time the Cliff Walk was offered.

Thank you Mary A for your review. You being a local, makes us very excited that we were able to answer your questions. We have taken people out on all of the tours and your tour was the first on the Chesapeake Beach - Cliffs tour, which has a beautiful view of the bay and the houses built on the cliffs. The weather was great for your tour and the photos are wonderful. Thank you for walking with us and we look forward to you taking our other tours. Thanks for your business!
