I’ve been wanting to take this tour since I first heard about it years ago, and this experience exceeded all my expectations. Our guide (a wonderful volunteer docent named Chris, I think) shared the stories behind a number of notable buildings, pointed out key features of Deco, Minimalist, and other schools of architecture, and brought to life the history of Chicago’s remarkable and varied architecture. This tour greatly enhanced my long weekend in Chicago and got me looking at buildings differently. Wonderful experience.

This cruise is a must! We got very lucky this November, there was one day (11/10) that felt like summer, we could not ask for better weather! The guide was phenomenal! I wish I remembered his name, because he should be recognized! The tour was at 1:45pm on 11/10/22, so may be easy to determine :). He knew everything about everything having to do with Chicago Architecture and History, and he was very engaging, exciting and funny! I took my 3 kids with me, ages 9-14, and they all enjoyed and actually paid attention and commented how awesome the guide was!
