What To Expect

Absolutely Chicago Segway Tours

There is nothing like seeing the city on a Chicago Segway tour. With our exceptional guides, you will get an amazing overview of the Windy City's sights and sounds. You get up close to all of the attractions and cover a whopping 7/8 miles round trip. Segways are intuitive and easy to ride; if you can stand you can ride! You only glide with a maximum of 8 people per tour guide, so you are guaranteed to have personalized and fun adventure in the Second City that is second to none. Guests are asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to the tour's scheduled departure time to check in and fill out waivers. All guests will be fitted with helmets. The tour begins at the departure time with a training video and comprehensive one-on-one training with the tour guide. Training ensures that even the most nervous guest feels comfortable for the duration of the tour.

This was not my first Segway tour and I am a happy repeat customer of this particular company. I have tried the competition, and returned here for many reasons. They are always well prepared and have the best guides in the city. This time I took a risk and booked the first tour of the morning, as I was touring with two teenagers it could have back fired. But our guide Amanda was terrific. She knew how to engage my motley crew and kept us all interested and entertained for the whole two hours. If you have ever wanted to try a Segway tour, go with this group and you won’t be disappointed.

I went with my family (two people mid-50's and two people mid-20's) on a tour with Absolutely Chicago Segway and had a great time. We arrived 15 minutes early per instructions and received instructions via video and by our guides. Our group leader was Dave and he was energetic, entertaining and helpful. He showed each rider individually how to operate the segways and was both an effective teacher and patient with every rider. His knowledge about the city was a bonus during the two-hour tour that led us around Grant Park, Buckingham Fountain, the Field Museum, Planetarium, and lakefront. Try and get Dave if you use this company!

I got lucky on a Friday morning. Our tour was with Guide Veronica, me and 2 other people. So it was a very personal tour and we took some more time at places than we would have with a larger group. The video and instructions about how to ride a Segway was very informative and easy to follow. I would go again with this company. The location was easy to find as well--right off Lake Shore Drive.
