What To Expect

Absolutely Chicago Segway Tours

There is nothing like seeing the city on a Chicago Segway tour. With our exceptional guides, you will get an amazing overview of the Windy City's sights and sounds. You get up close to all of the attractions and cover a whopping 7/8 miles round trip. Segways are intuitive and easy to ride; if you can stand you can ride! You only glide with a maximum of 8 people per tour guide, so you are guaranteed to have personalized and fun adventure in the Second City that is second to none. Guests are asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to the tour's scheduled departure time to check in and fill out waivers. All guests will be fitted with helmets. The tour begins at the departure time with a training video and comprehensive one-on-one training with the tour guide. Training ensures that even the most nervous guest feels comfortable for the duration of the tour.

We chose to go with this company as they had the earliest morning tour at 9am. Veronica was a very helpful and informative guide. We hasld previously being on a segway, though it always useful to familiarize yourself again which she did very well especially with my youngest daughter. The tour itself is mainly along Grant Park leading to the planetarium. You get some great views along the way as well as some history. We were fortunate to visit the observatory for a quick understanding of the sky above us. At two hours long with the thrill of riding a Segway, we totally enjoyed as a family

Captain Dave is knowledgeable, engaging, patient and just fun! I was a little nervous at first but, quickly got used to the Segway and had a great time! Very much worth doing!

I’m a Chicago local and was playing tourist with a friend from out of town. On a whim we decided to do a Segway tour. I couldn’t be more happy! Our guide, Tyler, was a wealth of knowledge. We’d done a totally different type of tour the day before and the guide for that was spouting tons of incorrect or half correct information about Chicago. Tyler was not only well versed on correct and little-known Chicago trivia, but he was also funny, and most importantly, he was a great instructor. I was by far the least natural glider in the group. He saved me a few times and encouraged me so I didn’t feel bad about my lack of grace. The route for the Museum Campus/Lakeshore tour is stunning and it’s exhilarating to glide once you get the hang of slowing and stopping. Another great thing about Absolutely Segway is that it’s locally owned & operated by a mother and daughter who really love what they are doing. I highly recommend it, and hope I can try a fireworks or Gold Coast tour soon.
