What To Expect
1
The Magnificent Mile
Settle in at Pizano's Pizza a culturally significant pizzeria with family ties to the creation of the deep dish pizza back in 1943.
2
Grant Park
Just steps from Grant Park, Flo & Santo's features Chicago thin crust tavern style pizza. Since Flo was the Polish grandma and Santo was the Italian grandpa, this menu is a fusion of both flavors.
3
Lincoln Park
Enjoy one of the local favorites off the beaten path in Lincoln Park. Pequod's has been a local legend since 1971 famous for their burnt cheese caramelized crust with the sweet sauce.
4
United Center
Getting pizza in West Town can only mean one thing, Coalfire. Savor these coal forged pies that bake at temps that exceed 1000 degrees just steps from the United Center in Chicago.
5
Wrigleyville
Up on the north side means you are in Cubs territory and the best pizza near the stadium is Coalfire's 2nd location on Southport. Enjoy some of the best pizza in Chicago in one of the best neighborhoods the city has to offer.
6
Wicker Park
Piece Pizza was one of the first non regional styles to set up in the Chicago neighborhoods. Their New Haven style pies have been enjoyed on the tour ever since we opened and is always a fan favorite.

Our tour guide James and driver Landon took us to 4 pizza places; Pizano's, Flo and Santos, Coalfire, and Bartoli's. Great pizza at each place, my personal favorite was Coalfire. James knows a lot about Chicago's pizza history and he helped the whole group feel like we were one group, as a solo traveler that was nice! It was interesting to learn that most pizza places in Chicago don't actually serve Chicago Deep Dish pizzas. If I remember correctly from the tour, only roughly 10% of all pizzerias in Chicago serve deep dish. Out of the 4 places we went to only 2 (Pizano's and Bartoli's) serve deep dish. That being said if you love pizza in any form you will not be disappointed in this tour. James says it's a different line-up every time so I'll probably do another tour next time I'm in town!

James was informative, fun and helpful. The tour bus was comfortable and we had more than enough food. Not just samples but slices of several different pizzas, all ver good. Would recommend this tour highly..
