We had an awesome day with Luke. He was very personable and showed us all over the island. Would defiantly recommend him for any excision. Weā€™ll worth the money.

We have been to Alaska many times but this was the first time to visit Icy Strait Point! We booked a bear sighting excursion with some locals as our guides! They had hoped to get a earlier start to our trip than scheduled but it didnā€™t happen! Beautiful land and surroundings and we were told great stories of the land and of their families! We went to many places and saw the left over salmon from the bears after they ate but while we waited we didnā€™t see any. On our way to another place we came a round a corner and a Mama bear and her cub were right in front of us running to get off the road to hide in the forest! Needless to say no one was prepared and got a picture but we saw them! Beautiful place and friendly locals!

Wonderful excursion led by Cora, a native of Hoonah. She found a bear within the first half hour of the excursion. It was a magical experience; we were the only tour bus there so there were maybe 8 people total. We safely observed the bear from a bridge and watched her catch a fish then she ambled away. We saw one other bear toward the end of the trip but from much farther away. Bring binoculars!!
