This tour was everything we hoped for and more. We live in N.J. and frequent N.Y. often however we never knew the history behind Chinatown and Little Italy. Alana taught us many wonderful things about these two areas, her knowledge on everything is highly entertaining. We had food tastings that were so delicious that we returned to some of the places after the tour to bring some goodies home. We even took Alana's recommendations for shops to visit and bought a beautiful set of chopsticks. Thank you Alana.

I felt like I learned quite a bit in a short amount of time on this tour. This was my first trip to NYC, and I wanted to learn as much as I could. Not only did I learn about where TO (and NOT to) eat in Little Italy and Chinatown (and tasted quite a bit of the food there), I learned quite a bit of history as well! Alana's passion for the food, her town and the area were contagious! My trip was too short to be able to go back and have the Lobster Roll from Ferrara's, or order the prosciutto that I wanted... but those are just excuses to go back! You will have a great time, be very full and learn alot!

This was one of the highlights of our recent trip to NY. Alana our guide was very professional and knowledgeable about the two areas, the history, the people and naturally the food. Her passion quickly got the attention of the group and made the three hours whiz by. The tastings were wonderful and certainly enough for lunch, at the Thai restaurant, where you sit down to eat, we had two dishes each one delicious and memorable. We learnt so much about Chinatown and Little Italy; Alana makes the history live and the old shops that have been in the same families for generations are highly recommend for a return more leisurely visit. We booked through Goldstar before we left home everything worked perfectly including printing the conformation which I always have fears about. Wear clothes suitable for what ever weather you get and comfy shoes are a must and I promise you will enjoy the experience. Thank you Alana for a memorable cuisine adventure Dee, Chris and Peter
