Joining Discover Richmond Tours means exploring Church Hill in a unique way. You will sample delicious food and snacks from up to 5 different restaurants, cafes, and bakeries, possibly including wood-fired pastries, classic Richmond comfort food, authentic Ethiopian Fare, and more! You’ll learn about the birthplace of Richmond and it’s heroes, and hear how our partner merchants got their start. But most of all, we’ll make sure you have fun doing it.

Be sure to bring water and comfortable shoes – we’ll be standing at most of our stops, and we’ll be in and out too quickly for water and other beverages to be served.

First, the weather was gorgeous for this tour on September 6, 2020. Our tour guide Annie was very nice, engaging, knowledgeable and honest about the restaurants, the dishes, and the history of Richmond/Cherry Hill. Annie came prepared with brochures and she was on time! Learned some interesting facts about the area, and our group was very friendly. I enjoyed this tour very much. We actually had leftover hand pies from Proper Pies and pastries from Sub Rosa the next day. I would recommend this tour. Enjoy!!

This was a Christmas gift from my best friend and we finally got to take the tour even during a pandemic. Everything was handled so professionally with social distancing and food served safely outside. Special thanks to Brian for a fun afternoon! We look forward to doing another tour in the future and to returning to the restaurants we visited!

Thoroughly enjoyed all parts of the tour. Brian was a great guide and the selection of restaurants and bakeries was excellent. All of the food and pastries were delicious. I would recommend this tour for anyone interested in exploring a variety of food options in Richmond.
