Joining Discover Richmond Tours means exploring Church Hill in a unique way. You will sample delicious food and snacks from up to 5 different restaurants, cafes, and bakeries, possibly including wood-fired pastries, classic Richmond comfort food, authentic Ethiopian Fare, and more! You’ll learn about the birthplace of Richmond and it’s heroes, and hear how our partner merchants got their start. But most of all, we’ll make sure you have fun doing it.

Be sure to bring water and comfortable shoes – we’ll be standing at most of our stops, and we’ll be in and out too quickly for water and other beverages to be served.

Our guide, Lindsey, met us at Libby Hill Park - amazing start to our few hours together! We meandered through the streets guiding us to the local eateries where we had ample samplings of some of the very best food in Richmond! 8 1/2 where we didn't have to chose red or white pizza - but had them both! WPA for a delicious warm cinnamon roll, Sub Rosa to sample their Classic Bread and a couple sweet delicacies, Liberty Public House allowed us to sit with our group mates and enjoy a bowl of chili, and included a stop at Proper Pie where we had a savory hand pie. The history of the area added to this experience of delicious bites and happy stomachs! We skipped dinner, but will be back in this area soon to dine in one of the several amazing restaurants we walked by soon!

A great way to sample several of historic Churchill's quaint cafes and restaurants. The food is amazing and our tour guide, Lindsay was a great story teller, intermingling history into the tour in a great way. I highly recommend all of the River City Food Tours. I try a different one each year during Superbowl weekend. So far, all three have been 5 stars! Super fun and yummy. A great deal too!
