We picked the round-Manhattan Island cruise as it was our first visit to New York, and it was fantastic. It starts by sailing by the Statue of Liberty, getting an amazing view, and a cruise anti-clockwise around Manhattan Island - 2.5 hours in total. The amenities on-board were very good (perhaps a little expensive) and the ship was clean and comfortable. It wasn't too crowded, but we went in December - I imagine it's much busier in the summer. The crew/staff were helpful and friendly and the commentary (supplied, I think, by Jim?) was really interesting, informative and amusing. We enjoyed the cruise very much and can highly recommend it as a way of getting an alternative view of Manhattan. We would happily do it again.

We would have given five stars if it werenā€™t for the hostile tour guide. Throughout the trip, our tour guide made unnecessarily rude remarks that created an unwelcoming environment for the customers. For example, when a young tourist was unintentionally standing by the windows, he humiliatingly chastised her in front of everyone, commenting that she was ā€œdisplaying rude behaviorā€ because she was blocking the view of other customers. Communicating to customers the doā€™s and donā€™ts of crew etiquette is more than welcome, but when it is done in an untasteful way, it ruins the exciting energy that the cruise should be offering. Speaking as a fellow New York resident, please invest more effort into creating a welcoming ambience for tourists who have most likely travelled from far away to see the city. Would not recommend to friends or family.
