Good way to see Lady Liberty. This is the 2nd time I've done this cruise. I feel they almost pack people too close together but I get it. The lady sitting next to my teen son was literally falling into his seat. That was a bit uncomfortable and awkward... The day we went was very crowded and busy as it was a Sunday. Unless you get they really, really early, you won't have the best seat to take pics of Lady Liberty. You can take good photos of just her but not with someone in the pic. It would be nice if they had an area for picture taking. Lastly, I usually don't pay for upgrades for tours or tickets, but if I could do it over, I would've paid the $10 extra to sit in the VIP area up at the very top. You don't have blocked views and you'll be able to take pics with no problems as I mentioned above. So do the upgrade, lol. Otherwise just know this is a basic ferry/cruise. You get what you pay for ($23?) so I'm not sure why people are so unimpressed. I still think it's the best way to see all the sights, buildings and of course, Lady Liberty herself.

We took the one hour cruise because we had a flight to catch. Every was like clockwork and the guide was excellent. Well done and thanks.

Filthy shuttle bus, stinky, over crowded, people standing in the isles, then we finally arrived after a very long ride in an terrible if not illegal road vehicle, we were given zero direction on where to go, no idea which pier was the place, we were told there would be alcohol beverages available, nothing but chips and water….terrible experience, the tour guide on the boat was trying to be an entertainer, some information but the speakers were not equipped throughout the boat so only if you stood by the guy could you here what he had to say, then he ran around the boat asking for tips, very unprofessional. Would not recommend this line for the tour. There are plenty of other ways to get the views this trip offered.
