The main attractions in Philly are located mainly in the historical downtown area. Very easy to walk to or take a Double Decker bus tour. My husband and I also went on the Black History waling tour of Philly. Very interesting tour and a must if you are a history buff. I suggest going doing the July 4th holiday weekend because this is when history comes alive with costume characters and parades.

We are a French couple who are fans of Big Bus in each city we visit, which generally allows us to have a first historical overview before choosing the places we will visit on foot based on the audio comments heard during the round. And this is our first time trying SightSeeingTours. Huge disappointment: apart from the fact that the bus is dilapidated, the headphones do not work. And as we speak school English, we don't understand much of the comments of the young person on the microphone, who, although friendly, makes no effort for foreign tourists... Germans and Dutch sitting next to each other are in the same case that we...especially children. This tour offers two lines: a red urban one which shows most of the city center, a blue "countryside" which goes around the surrounding parks. The bus change is at the "rocky Balboa" stop, and like everyone else, we get off to see this attraction and wait for the blue line... the bus will never pass, after 1h30 of waiting. We therefore take the red line again, hoping that this bus will offer headphones for the comments in French, but no... this bus is even more dilapidated and the commentator on the microphone, who this time is not friendly, does not no more effort to speak. In short, we paid for the most expensive bus ride in the world over the shortest distance, and learned nothing. Never again SightSeeingTours.
