My daughter and I recently went on an Alaskan cruise and booked this tour thru Holland America EXC tours. This was so much fun! Newbies to ATV riding we were a little apprehensive. The guides did the standard release form, safety video and fitted you with proper head gear and had additional gear for bad weather if needed. After a some simple instructions we were off. Two guides Randy and (can't remember the other guys name - he was there working for the summer from Poland). Great guys, very nice, watched over everyone. Took us thru trails, river bed, streams and saw incredible scenery. Rode for about an hour and stopped along the way. Stopped at a ranch house for dinner. OMG! The food was amazing! Ribs, salmon, potato salad, coleslaw, baked beans, tea, orange juice, lemonade, wine and beer for purchase. Don't forget to tip the cook - she did an amazing job! After eating we rode for about another 45 minutes back to the main building. This was so much fun - thanks for a great experience, Note: I don't believe children younger than 18 can ride as a single rider, fun and easy trail for first timers, meal was worth it. If you are going into Denali on the bus tour also and are limited on time -- I would do the ATV tour. Similar views and you can stop along the way. ATV not for very senior individuals with mobility limitations. The bus would be more suited for them. We did both. Bus was very well narrated and had a great guide also. Takes you all thru Denali and makes several stops along the way. The bus tour was very easy going and enjoyable and saw lots of animals. The ATV excursion picked us up at our hotel at McKinley Chalet Resort and brought us back. Great time.

No you don't get to go fast but the views were amazing. Safe and easy tour with informative guides. Well worth the time and money.

we paid for a 3.5 hour tour including the meal, and we did not need picking up. I asked how long we get to ride the ATv's and was told 90 minutes to the get to the meal site and then 90 minutes back. We only rode for 30 minutes there and back and was back at the office 30 minutes early. we were told that the time includes being picked up.It was not worth the 0ne hour ride. The meal was pretty good and our guides were good tho. When I booked the tour I asked about our 4 kids, was told that they could not drive an ATV but was not told they could not ride on behind either. So we had to switch up to side by sides
