Solo trip to Ft. Lauderdale, so I wanted to get to know the city a little better and try something new. Riverwalk Recreation seemed to have tons of options that fit the bill: electric trike tours, paddleboards, & kayaks! All with super knowledgeable and helpful staff. I did the electric trike tour with Kelly and it was a blast! I'll admit I was a little nervous about the trikes at first (kind of like a segway but with the option to sit down); Kelly showed me the ropes though, and I caught on quickly. Nice breezy ride along the river, and Kelly knew so much about the city, I learned a lot about why it developed the way it did (awesome for history buffs). Another thing I was dying to try while in FL was upright paddleboarding. I'd heard it's a great core workout. Again--had no idea how I would fare since I'd never done it before, but it was honestly easier than it looks, and tons of fun. Riverwalk Rec has lockers and dry boxes for your stuff, so it was easy to make their tours and rentals part of a full day downtown. I highly recommend trying them out: fun & convenient to downtown, and good for solo travelers or groups.

We went on a Bike Tour of Down Town Fort Lauderdale with Kelly, it was great. We learned a little about the history, visited a quaint neighborhood we would never would have found as tourist and had a great two hours. Kelly was knowledgeable and fun. We had a great time. Highly recommend Riverwalk Recreation!

I was visiting Fort Lauderdale for work and had time off during the weekend to explore the city. I came across Riverwalk recreation and decided to get Paddleboard lessons on the New river that runs through the city. kelly was my instructor and he was very capable in teaching the lesson. I was on the board and paddling in just a few minutes and he spent the remaider of the time giving me a brief guided history of the city down the New River. I returned the next day and rented the paddleboard to explore on my own and later signed up for a history bike tour of the city. Kelly was also the guide for this tour. He is well versed in the city's history and also pointed out nightlife and restaurants along the way. I will definitely be returning to Riverwalk Recreation in the future when I am in Fort Lauderdale.
