Clear Creek Intermediate Whitewater Rafting near Denver

Overview
Clear Creek Canyon is unique in the quantity and quality of its rapids. It has more rapids than nearly any other commercially run stretch of whitewater in the nation. It is also free-flowing, meaning that the water levels change throughout the season, offering a variety of experiences. In addition to world-class rafting, it is also the home of the 1859 Gold Rush. Gold is still found in the creek by intrepid miners using pans and dredges. Guests will pass many sites of historical significance related to the Gold Rush while rafting on Clear Creek. Clear Creek is also conveniently located nearby Denver and other surrounding resorts, making it the perfect day-trip excursion.

Amazing! Excellent guides, excellent experience. First time rafting and we had so much fun. Our guide Luke made it awesome

What a great time on the rapids. Kennedy was our guide. She was excellent and knew the river. Everything with Downstream Adventures was top notch. From calling ahead to have our party on the same raft to checking in to riding 5 miles on Class 3-4 rapids. Great equipment and wetsuits that didn’t smell! Booties are a must! Lots of companies to choose from. Go with these guys!

These guys were the best. They run a solid operation, have all the equipment you need, and everything ran on time. Russell was out guide and he was exceptional. He has a lot of experience as a guide and we felt like we were in good hands. He was also very personable and provided a lot great information about the area as we went along. The rapids themselves were great. Lots of Class III's and IV's. Definitely well worth the money. My only "pro tip" on this adventure actually has nothing to do with Downstream Adventures. If you are using a ridership app (Uber, Lyft, etc) to get there from Denver, you'll have no problem. However, getting back can be a problem. We had to submit seven requests between Uber and Lyft before a driver saw us and took the ride... and he had to drive 18 miles just to pick us up. Bottom line, drive your own car or make sure your transportation is locked in before you go.
